The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding Ph.D. students enrolled or planning to enroll in The Smeal College of Business. Selection is based on superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. Nominations should be made by Department Chair to Hans Baumgartner, Ph.D. Director. Recipient shall be selected by the Graduate Fellowship Committee.

There shall be two scholarships awarded each year, and the amount of the scholarship shall be determined by the Selection Committee.

This scholarship is awarded for one academic year and may be renewed for subsequent years providing the recipient continues to meet the conditions of eligibility and funds are available.
