American Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowships

Available for full-time graduate or postgraduate study or research in the U.S. are awarded to women of outstanding academic ability who are not citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. Applicants must hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree.

Applicants are judged on their professional potential and on the importance of their projects to their country of origin. Upon completion of their studies, fellowship recipients must return to their home countries to pursue a professional career; preference will be given to applicants who can verify that they have a definite position awaiting them.

The Masters/First Professional Fellowship award is $18,000 and the Doctoral Fellowship is $20,000. Both covering a 12-month period beginning July 1. Applications are available August 1 - December 15.
