Educational Testing Service Summer Program in Research for Graduate Students

Up to 12 graduate students will be selected to participate in ongoing research projects under the supervision of ETS senior staff in one of the following areas: psychology; education; teaching; learning; psychometrics; statistics; literacy; policy research; computer science; linguistics; psycholinguistics; educational technology; minority issues; testing issues, including alternate forms of assessment for special populations; new forms of assessment, or policy research. A goal of the program is to increase the number of women and minority professionals in educational measurement and related fields.
Duration will run from June through July. Each graduate intern will receive $5,000 for the 8-week period. Reasonable round-trip travel expenses will be reimbursed.
The main criteria for selection will be scholarship and the match of applicant interests with those of participating ETS staff. Affirmative action goals will also be considered in the selection process.
The program is open to graduate students who are pursuing a doctorate in a relevant discipline and who provide evidence of prior research.
